Fair Usage Policy

Last updated on July 1, 2025.

Scope

Airmeet’s Fair Usage Policy (“this Policy”) is intended to ensure that the Platform remains fast, reliable, and fair for all Users. It applies to all Users of the Platform, regardless of their selected Plan, and governs usage across the Platform’s available features and services. Excessive or abusive use of the Platform by any User may impact overall performance and disrupt the experience of others. This Policy describes certain patterns of usage that are not permitted and sets expectations regarding responsible use.

This Policy forms part of Airmeet’s Terms of Use and shall be enforced accordingly. Violations may lead to actions including account suspension or termination. Unless otherwise specified, capitalized terms used in this Policy have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms of Use. Any patterns outlined in this Policy are illustrative in nature and are not in any way an exhaustive catalogue of misuse.

Prohibited Use

Users must not use the Airmeet Platform in ways that are illegal, harmful, or that undermine the Platform. In particular, and without limiting the restrictions set out in the Terms of Use, Users must not:

  • Engage in Illegal or Harmful Activities: Violate any law or regulation (including intellectual property, privacy, or export laws). Users must not post or share unlawful, infringing, or malicious content. For example, content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit is strictly forbidden by Airmeet’s Terms of Use.
  • Share or Resell Access: Share, sell, sublicense, or transfer Accounts, login credentials, or API keys. Each Account is intended for use by a single organization or individual, as permitted by the Terms of Use. Reselling or gifting a paid Account is strictly prohibited. Likewise, using one Account as a “white-label” or agency Account for multiple unrelated clients without Airmeet’s explicit written permission is not permitted.
  • Use Automation or Bots: Use any automated tools, scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with Airmeet’s services in unintended ways. Automated data harvesting, bot-driven session attendance or engagement, and any non-manual use of the Platform are forbidden. For example, Users may not use robots or spiders to flood events with fake attendees, scrape data from sessions, or artificially inflate activity.
  • Interfere with the Platform: Attempt to break, hack, or overload Airmeet systems. This includes any denial-of-service actions, login attempts to accounts you do not own, or attempting to override or bypass security controls or usage limits. Users must not try to bypass rate limits, content filters, or any protective measures of the service.
  • Misrepresent Metrics: Create fake or dummy events, booths, participants, or content solely to skew usage metrics or circumvent limits. For example, setting up empty “fake” booths or phantom attendees to abuse analytics or limits is prohibited.
  • Engage in Abusive or Exploitative Behavior: Engage in any conduct that Airmeet deems abusive, exploitative, or otherwise harmful to the Platform, even if not explicitly listed in this Policy.

Excessive or Unfair Use

Airmeet reserves the right to define and enforce what constitutes fair and reasonable use of each Plan. If a User’s usage goes well beyond normal expectations or negatively impacts service, Airmeet may intervene. These include but are not limited to the following:

  • Usage Monitoring: Airmeet may monitor and measure usage (sessions, attendees, bandwidth, etc.) to detect abuse. If a User generates “unusually high usage” over a short period, Airmeet may throttle or restrict service for that User to protect other Users.
  • Event Duration Limits: Continuously running Events or sessions for an unusually long time (for example, back-to-back multi-day Events or continuous sessions far beyond normal duration) is not intended under normal Plans and may be limited.
  • High Event Frequency: Scheduling an extremely large number of Events or sessions in a short timeframe (extremely high volumes of Events in a short timeframe) may be flagged as excessive. Airmeet may require the User upgrade if you consistently operate at this level of activity.
  • Booth or Feature Misuse: Opening an excessive number of expo booths with little or no content or repeatedly reusing features in a way that overwhelms the Platform (e.g. hundreds of unused networking lounges or sponsor booths) is considered misuse. This includes creating booth or room spaces solely to gain an unfair marketing or analytics advantage.
  • Artificial Attendance: Inflating event attendance or engagement through bots, fake registrations, or other manipulations is strictly prohibited. Airmeet may detect unusual join/leave patterns or automated behaviors and may take appropriate action.
  • Agency Model Abuse: Using an account to provide event-hosting services to third parties (effectively acting as an event agency or white-label provider) without the correct plan is not allowed. Each organization or event host should have their own license unless a dedicated enterprise solution is in place.
  • Resale of Services: Attempting to use the Platform in a reseller model (for example, selling tickets or access to events that you do not properly own under the Account license) is prohibited. You must not use Airmeet to resell event hosting services unless specifically authorized to do so by Airmeet.

Airmeet expects usage to align with a User’s subscribed Plan. If a User’s usage consistently exceeds what is reasonable for their Plan, Airmeet may require an upgrade or curtail such User’s usage of the Platform.

Enforcement

Airmeet reserves the right  to define and enforce what constitutes fair and reasonable use of each Plan, consistent with its Terms of Use. Actions for violations may include:

  • Warning or Suspension: Affected accounts may receive warnings or temporary suspension of service while the situation is reviewed.
  • Throttling or Feature Limits: Airmeet may immediately throttle bandwidth, cap participant logins, or disable certain features (e.g. booth functionality, recording) to protect the Platform.
  • Account Termination: For severe or repeated violations, Airmeet may suspend or permanently terminate the User’s account. As Airmeet’s Terms of Use state, abusing or “unethically manipulating or exploiting” the Platform can lead to immediate termination.
  • Data Deletion: Any content or data from Events in violation may be deleted without notice. Airmeet is not responsible for any lost data or costs incurred if a Account is suspended or terminated due to violations of this Policy.
  • Legal Remedies: Airmeet may also pursue legal remedies. Under Airmeet’s Terms of Use, a violation of this Policy may be treated as an “unfair business practice” causing irreparable harm. Airmeet reserves the right to seek injunctive relief and recover costs (including attorneys’ fees) from defaulting Users if legal action is initiated.

Airmeet will generally attempt to notify the Account owner when enforcing this Policy, but may act immediately in cases of serious abuse or threats to the Platform’s integrity. Airmeet shall not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from enforcement (such as Event cancellation or loss of recordings).

Violations of this Policy are treated as breaches of Airmeet’s Terms of Use and may result in suspension or termination of violating Accounts.  Any enforcement decision will be made at Airmeet’s sole discretion, based on the severity and pattern of misuse.

Changes to Policy

Airmeet may update this Policy at any time. The current version will be posted on the Airmeet website. Users are encouraged to review the Policy periodically. Continued use of Airmeet after any changes signifies a User’s acceptance of this Policy, as revised from time-to-time. This is consistent with Airmeet’s Terms of Use, which reserve Airmeet’s right to modify its policies and treat continued use as agreement to those changes.

Contact and Appeals

Users who have questions about this Policy or believe that an enforcement action was taken in error may contact Airmeet Support at [email protected]. Messages to Airmeet Support should include Account details, Event name(s), and any relevant information to help Airmeet to assess the issue. Airmeet will review legitimate appeals and aim to respond promptly, though Airmeet’s determination will be final.
